Three night stand with David Hunter

Musical theatre legend David Hunter returned to London’s The Other Palace studio once again for a series of solo gigs. After his previous gig in January as part of Lamert Jacksons New Year, New Favourites Series, David returned for not one, not two, but three nights of songs, stories and stupid jokes.

David knows how to entertain his audience. His gigs are always filled with so much laughter, time just races by. I was lucky enough to be invited to capture his gigs at The Other Palace in March, and had the best time. Not only is David an incredibly nice human being, he also sounds pretty good when he grabs his guitar and sings his favourite songs – musical theatre and original.

With special guest and Waitress co-star Lucie Jones on one night, and his band Jamie Cameron and Andrew Pickton on the other two nights – no gig was the same. And this is exactly why I personally love live events and theatre so much. No two shows are the same – it may only be small details in some cases, but there’s always something that is very unique to that one special night.
